{"id":520,"date":"2020-03-17T07:30:21","date_gmt":"2020-03-17T11:30:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.schererelectric.com\/blog\/?p=520"},"modified":"2020-03-18T02:09:00","modified_gmt":"2020-03-18T06:09:00","slug":"covid-19-public-statement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.schererelectric.com\/blog\/uncategorized\/covid-19-public-statement\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19 &#8211; Public Statement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.schererelectric.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Scherer-Electric-logo.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-521\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>As we continue to monitor the unforeseen\nsituation that is present with the coronavirus (COVID-19) and associated\nillnesses, Scherer Electric has developed this policy to maintain a safe and\nhealthy environment for all team members, visitors, and our customers.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scherer Electric wishes to ensure all customers that we have continuity plans in place\nto deliver uninterrupted service and support to customers as we navigate the\nuncertainty of COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scherer Electric\u2019s Team<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scherer Electric has implemented an extensive COVID-19 Policy accompanied by Scherer Electric\u2019s COVID-19 Temporary Risk Management Procedures. We have implemented additional sanitization and cleaning protocols in our office, warehouses, fleet vehicles, and work locations. We have equipped field staff with the necessary equipment to ensure safe working procedures in homes and businesses of our customers. We have increased options for remote work where possible. The policy and procedures set in place are largely precautionary and will be constantly monitored and adjusted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scherer Electric\u2019s Plan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No employees showing symptoms of COVID-19 will\nbe working while showing symptoms and will not return until medically cleared.\nPrior to each home visit, your technician will call to confirm the appointment.\nAt this time, the technician will describe the increased sanitary measures and\nconfirm nobody at the location is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or has\nexperienced symptoms within the past 48 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All our installers are equipped with hand sanitizer\nand wipes for all surfaces. In addition, we all wear disposable protective shoe\ncoverings in your home which are disposed of after every home visit. They have\nN95 masks on their trucks; which if you will feel more comfortable, they are\nhappy to wear them in your home at your request. We are a smaller operation and\nthe exposure for our employees are minimal. That translates to minimal exposure\nfor you and your family in your home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We encourage\nthose who are well to keep their appointments. Customers who are ill or high\nrisk, we wish for you to reschedule, and every effort to reschedule at your\nconvenience will be made.
